National Assembly, Senate to resume sessions today
ISLAMABAD, DEC 19, (DNA) – The National Assembly will resume its session in Islamabad today (Monday) afternoon at 4pm.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Paksitan Peoples Party (PPP) is likely to give a tough time to the ruling party.
PTI will likely seek PM Nawaz’s explanation over the contradiction between his statements in NA and stance presented in the SC.
PTI leaders have already said that Imran Khan will attend the assembly’s session once the premier clears the queries related to his statements in the House.
On the other hand, PTI has submitted adjournment motion in NA secretariat to held debate over the report of Justice Qazi Faiz Esa.
The motion states that the House should conduct discussion over the pivotal matter while halting the routine proceedings.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is also demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan over the commission report on Quetta incident.
The Senate will also begin its 257th session at Parliament House in Islamabad at 2pm.
President Mamnoon Hassan has summoned the meeting over the summary sent by PM Nawaz.
The House will discuss important national issues besides carrying out legislative business.=DNA
