Nation set to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today
LAHORE, JUN 26 (DNA) – Millions of faithful will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today (Monday) across Pakistan with religious fervor. Eid congregations will be held in cities, towns and villages across the country. The main Eid congregation in Lahore will be held at the Badshahi Mosque.
Special prayers will be offered for the prosperity of the country and unity among the Muslim Ummah. Muslims will pray for the progress, safety and success of Pakistan Army in its war against the terrorists.
Earlier, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman made a formal announcement of sighting of moon in a press conference on Sunday in Islamabad.
Testimonies were received from several cities and towns across the country. After receiving the testimonies of moon sighting, Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Monday.
