Nation to observe Kashmir Day on Sunday

ISLAMABAD, FEB 04, (DNA) – Pakistan will observe Kashmir solidarity day on Sunday (February 5) with a pledge to seek a resolution of Kashmir dispute according to UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
According to Radio Pakistan, the day will dawn with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir, victory of the freedom struggle and expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people, followed by mass rallies, symposia, walks for peace, conventions and meeting in order to draw world attention towards the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people.
Nationwide one-minute silence will be observed at 10.00 a.m. to honour Kashmiri martyrs.
Human Chains at Kohala and Mangla Bridges and other points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir will be formed. Among others, Senators, Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, politicians, senior officials and notables will attend thse events.
In Islamabad, members of the Kashmir Committee of the National Assembly will visit the office of the United Nations to present a memorandum calling on India to grant Kashmiris the right to self-determination.=DNA
