NADRA female executive arrested for spreading anti-state content on WhatsApp

ISLAMABAD, MAY 9: Amid ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, hate-filled social media posts against the military and the state continue to surface.
National Cyber Crimes Agency has arrested a senior NADRA executive Hina Rehman Sheikh, for allegedly creating a WhatsApp group and spreading anti-army content.
According to the agency, accused was working at NADRA’s Abbott Road office in Lahore. A raid was conducted at the office by a cybercrime team, including two female officers, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.
Officials said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway, with further revelations expected. The cyber agency stated that such activities will not be tolerated, especially in sensitive times for the country.
