NAB references: Nawaz Sharif appears in accountability court for 13th time
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (r) Safdar reappeared in accountability court in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references today (Tuesday).
During the hearing headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir, NAB Additional Director Nasir Junejo recorded his statement in Flagship reference over which Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Khawaja Harris asked him whether he was part of the inquiry against Sharif family in 2017 which he responded with ‘yes’.
Junejo told that Shahbaz Haider provided recorded of Chaudhry Sugar Mills on August 21, 2017 while investigation officer also recorded his stance in the case on the same day.
Responding to a question about any further inquiry in the case, the witness said that no statement was recorded in front of him afterwards.
A total of 13 witnesses have recorded their statements so far in three cases against the disqualified premier.
