NAB references: Nawaz to appear in Accountability Court again today
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will appear in the Accountability Court again in connection with three corruption references filed against him by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar will also appear in the Accountability Court. Nawaz Sharif is nominated suspect in references regarding Avenfield properties, Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment, while Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (r) Safdar are nominated in reference regarding Avenfield properties alone.
According to the sources, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz will travel from Lahore to Islamabad on Tuesday morning to appear in the court.
According to details, it will be 16th hearing of Avenfield properties and Flagship Investment references and 20th hearing of the Azizia Steel Mills reference.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif appeared before accountability court on nine occasions while Maryam Nawaz on 11 times and Captain (r) Safdar on 13 occasions. At least eight prosecution witnesses have recorded their statements in all the three references so far.
