ISLAMABAD, JAN 24 (DNA) – Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, Chairman National Accountability Bureau sought report from DGs of all Regional Bureaus of NAB on action taken on corruption complaints lodged by people in their respective regional bureaus of NAB from Oct 11, 2017.

Chairman NAB also sought report whether the complainants had been informed about the receipt and progress on their complaints accordingly as directed earlier.

The concerned Regional Bureaus have also been directed to fix responsibility of officers/officials who had failed to issue receipts and provide remedy to complainants as such officers have no place in NAB.

Chairman NAB had already devised a mechanism to listen people’s Complaints related to corruption on last Thursday of every month.

Chairman NAB himself listening peoples complaints for the last two months at NAB Headquarters.

Chairman NAB now in order to save time and money of peoples coming from far flung areas of the country has directed all regional Director Generals of NAB to listen people’s complaints from 2pm to 4pm on last Thursday of each month as chairman NAB wanted to resolve people’s issues nearing to their door steps. Regional Bureaus had also been directed to ensure complainants ‘ self respect.

As per the instructions of Chairman NAB, all Director Generals of regional bureaus of NAB would listen people’s corruption related complaints at their respective offices from 2pm to 4pm on tomorrow Thursday, January 25, 2018 which is last Thursday of January, 2018.

While Chairman NAB will listen people’s corruption related complaints at NAB headquarters tomorrow as per schedule from 2pm to 4 pm.

Chairman NAB has directed all regional DGs to resolve people’s complaints if laws confer powers them to do so and other complaints should be forwarded to NAB Headquarters for processing as per law and complainants should also be informed about progress in their complaints. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard.=DNA
