NAB alleges Zardari of using influence to take Rs1.5bn loan
ISLAMABAD, APR 12 (DNA) -– The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted reply in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the fake bank accounts case and alleged former president Asif Ali Zardari of committing fraud and taking Rs1.5 billion loan by using influence.
The anti-corruption watchdog maintained that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman is not entitled to bail in Park Lane Company case as he built a fake company.
NAB deputy prosecutor general Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi submitted reply in the IHC on Asif Ali Zardari’s bail plea and claimed that the erstwhile president made false statement in his petition.
The NAB said the PPP co-chairman took Rs1.5 billion loan from the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) with the help of other suspects and requested the court to dismiss Asif Ali Zardar’s bail plea.
It is worth mentioning here that the National Accountability Bureau is probing into fake bank accounts case upon the directions of the Supreme Court.=DNA
