Mushahid Hussain hosts iftar for colleagues; diplomatic corps
ISLAMABAD, MAY 13 (DNA) – Chairman Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Senator Mushahid Hussain hosted iftar dinner for colleagues. The reception, which turned out to be a big political gathering, as representatives of all political parties were present on the occasion, provided an opportunity to guests to have free and frank exchange of views with one another.
The hallmark of the event was huge participation of the diplomatic corps in the iftar reception. Ambassadors and high commissioners of almost all leading countries attended the event. Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani was the chief guest.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf, Chairmen Senate Mian Raza Rabbani and Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, senators and members of National and Provincial assemblies also attended the event.
Senator Mushahid Hussain in his brief remarks welcomed all guests adding for Pakistani people the month of Ramazan has huge significance for Pakistan came into being in this holy month under the dynamic leadership of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah
He said the Senate of Pakistan in fact is a unique example of unity in diversity as all the federating units are represented in this august House. =DNA
