Muharram-ul-Haram moon sighted, Youm-e-Ashoor to be on Oct 1

KARACHI, SEPT 21 (DNA) – The crescent of Muharram-ul-Haram has been sighted on Thursday in Pakistan, marking the beginning of the Islamic new year 1439 AH.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, led by Mufti Munibur Rehman, met met today in Karachi for sighting the Muharram moon.
The sighting of the moon was announced by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman after the meeting of the committee.
