In a follow up tweet, Abidi said he had scheduled an appointment with the speaker on November 15 where he would verify his resignation before it is accepted.
The resignation comes days after MQM-P announced an electoral alliance with defacto Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) which was followed by differences within the party that led to Dr Farooq Sattar’s two-hour long resignation. Abidi was one of the leaders, among many others, unhappy over Sattar’s decisions to merge with PSP.
