Karachi: MQM intra-party elections underway
KARACHI, FEB 18 (DNA) -Polling for intra-party elections of Mutahida Qaumi Movement PIB colony faction is underway for the posts of convener, deputy convener, Rabita committee and Central Executive Committee (CEC) members at the MC ground today.
The polling started at around 2pm and will continue till 6pm without any break. Election results will be announced in a press conference after the election.
“Intra-party elections are the only solution to current crisis. The workers should vote sincerely and elect their leaders,” said Farooq Sattar through video link.
Karachi workers will cast their votes at PIB colony polling station while voters from other cities will cast their votes in the Hyderabad zone. Final announcement will be made by the Election Comission of Pakistan (ECP) later.
