MQM official shot dead in Karachi
KARACHI, MAR 24 (DNA) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) councilor Anis Siddiqui was on Saturday gunned down by unidentified men in Orangi Town area of Karachi on Friday.
According to details, Anis Siddiqui was sitting in the drawing room of his house situated in Bangash Colony in Orangi town when assailants sprayed bullets at him through a window, killing him on the spot.
An MQM-P spokesperson informed media that the deceased belonged to MQM-P. His body has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post mortem.
MQM-P Bahadurabad faction leader Amir Khan reached the hospital to condole the death on Anis Siddiqui with his family. On the other hand, Dr Farooq Sattar, MQM-P head of PIB Colony faction, has strongly condemned the killing of Anis Siddiqui and demanded inquiry of the incident.
