Mohammad Shahzad hits fastest fifty in T10
SHARJAH: (DNA) – Afghanistan’s opening batsman Mohammad Shahzad on Wednesday proved why is he one of the fiercest hitter of the cricket ball when he slammed a 16-ball 74 knock, declared as the fastest fifty in T10 format.
Shahzad, who was playing for the Rajputs, played a record-breaking inning laced with eight sixes and six boundaries to take his side over the line against Sindhis.
Playing first, Shane Watson-led Sindhis posted a challenging target of 94 in 10 overs but it was Shahzad’s blistering fifty which stole the show completely and chased down the target in just 4 overs making it a one-sided affair.
