Missing persons commission disposes of 4067 cases upto August
ISLAMABAD, SEPT 3 (DNA) – Missing Persons Commission has disposed of 4067 cases upto August 31, 2019 as per monthly progress report on cases of alleged enforced disappearances-August 2019.
A total number of 6277 cases were received by the Missing Persons Commission up to July, 2019. During August 2019, 55 more cases were received by the commission in August 2019 and total numbers of cases reached to 6332. The Missing Persons Commission in August 2019 disposed of 47 cases of missing persons.
The Missing Persons Commission has conducted 523 hearings in August
2019, 219 hearings in Islamabad, 72 in Lahore, 81 in Peshawar and 151 in Karachi.
Chairman of the Commission Justice® Javed Iqbal and other members have disposed of 4067 cases till August 31, 2019.
The relatives of missing persons have lauded the efforts of Honorable Justice Javed Iqbal Chairman missing person commission and other members of the commission for taking personal interest in locating their near and dear ones.
Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman of Missing Person Commission is serving the Commission in honorary capacity and drawing no salary and availing other faculties. =DNA
