Two police martyred as roadside bomb targets DPO’s convoy in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, MAR 30 (DNA) – Two police embraced martyrdom and two were wounded late Friday after a bomb blast targeted a convoy of District Police Officer (DPO).
Reportedly, a bomb planted along a road bank exploded as the convoy approached leaving two cops wounded and two killed. The DPO was travelling back to Dera Ismail Khan from Kulachi.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kareem Khan said that the attack was executed when DPO’s convoy was travelling through the area however, the police officer survived the attack.
Two bodies and the wounded were shifted to a nearby facility for medical treatment.
Security forces cordoned off the attack site and shut the area at its entry and exit points to launch a search operation.
