Minister calls Interfaith Harmony Foundation for Pakistan’s progress, stability
ISLAMABAD, DEC 17 /DNA/ – Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Kheal Das Kohistani, said that interfaith harmony is the foundation of a society’s progress and stability, adding that Pakistan is a bouquet of diverse religions.
He described the Bakhtawari family’s Christmas celebration as a fine example of religious harmony and said it is our collective responsibility to promote respect and brotherhood in the hearts of every citizen.
He noted that Christmas reminds us that the values of love and compassion are not confined to any one religion or sect.He expressed these views while addressing a special Christmas ceremony hosted by the Bakhtawari family in Islamabad, where Christmas cakes were also cut.
The event was attended by Sri Lankan High Commissioner Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne, Chairman Pakistan Cultural Forum Zafar Bakhtawari, General Secretary Labour Union Chaudhry Yaseen, Patron-in-Chief Azerbaijan–Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce Ahsan Bakhtawari, High Commissioner of Zimbabwe Titus M.
