Mild earthquake hits Swat
PESHAWAR, 11 JAN (DNA) – A moderate 5.0-magnitude earthquake shook northern areas of Pakistan in Saturday’s wee hours. Officials said there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties
According to Met department, the epicenter was located in border area of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan at a depth of 111 kilometers. The quake was felt in Swat and adjoining areas.
In October last year a 7.5-magnitude quake ripped across Pakistan and Afghanistan, killing almost 400 people and flattening buildings in rugged terrain that impeded relief efforts. DNA
