Miftah directs for resolving issues of small traders at earliest time possible
ISLAMABAD, AUG 2 /DNA/ – Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail held a meeting with delegation of Mardan Chambers of Small Traders and Small Industry (CSTSI) headed by its President Mr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan and President Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajraan KP Mr. Sharafat Ali Mubarak at Finance Division today. Coordinator to the PM on Commerce & Industry Rana Ihsan Afzal and other senior officers attended the meeting.
President Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajraan KP Mr. Sharafat Ali Shah and President Mardan Chambers of Small Traders and Small Industry Mr. Fayyaz Khan shared with the Finance Minister regarding the issues being faced by the Mardan Chambers of Small Traders and Small Industry especially related to imposition of tax on electricity bills, property taxes and sales tax. The Finance Minister was also briefed about the contribution of this sector in the economic development of the country and it was added that the issues of this sector should be resolved at the earliest time possible.
The Finance Minister acknowledged the contribution of this sector economic development of the country and assured the delegation that their comprehensions would be addressed. He also apprised the delegation that reviews are being carried out for resolving the aforementioned issues.
The delegation thanked the Finance Minister for his full support and cooperation.
