Michael D Higgins re-elected as Irish president for second term
DUBLIN, (DNA) – In Ireland, President Michael D. Higgins has been re-elected for a second term.
According to the electoral commission, he bagged 56 percent of the votes. Higgins enjoyed support of three of the four largest political parties.
