MULTAN, MAR 02, (DNA) -Have you ever felt fed up of traditional customer service at restaurants and wanted its overhaul? Well, a food outlet in Multan has come up with a completely novel and technologically innovative solution to your gripe in shape of a robotic waiter service.
Yes you read it right! A pizza outlet in Multan has a robotic waiter that serves its customers in style. A National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) student Syed Osama Aziz conceived a plan to replace humans with robot as waiters at the restaurant. The creator of the robot is an electrical engineer by profession.
Reports suggest that Azia spent Rs 400,000 and eight months to develop the waiter robot. Under its programming, the robot nicely welcomes customers, note down their orders, and promptly says ‘excuse me!’ the moment it encounters or spots any hurdle.=DNA
