Maqsood, Tanvir help Sultans beat Zalmi
DUBAI, MAR 06 (DNA) – Sohaib Maqsood’s brilliant knock helped Multan Sultans register 19-run win over Peshawar Zalmi in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s third edition in Dubai on Tuesday.
After being put into bat first, Sultans posted 183 for three in their allotted 20 overs, courtesy Maqsood’s brilliant unbeaten 85 off 42 with the help of four fours and seven sixes.
For Zalmi, left-arm spinner Liam Dawson and pacer Umaid Asif claimed a wicket each.
In reply, Zalmi only managed to scored 164-8 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Mohammad Hafeez finished the innings with the top score of 56 off 41 with the help of five fours and two sixes.
For Sultans, pacer Sohail Tanvir and all-rounder Kieron Pollard claimed three wickets each.
For his outstanding batting performance, Maqsood was player man of the match.
