Maleeha Lodhi calls for effective implementation of Paris Agreement
NEW YORK, JUN 10 (DNA) – Pakistan has told the United Nations that it would play an active role in the efforts to reverse the decline of world’s oceans health resulting from of irresponsible human activity.
This was stated by Pakistan`s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi at the concluding ceremony of Ocean conference in New York.
She said that we remain committed to working closely with the international community to improve the health of our oceans.
The Pakistani envoy said the world needs to come together to make a collective commitment to reverse this.”
She called for effective implementation of the Paris Agreement as climate change was truly a global problem.
Pakistan is undertaking a number of steps to strengthen the country’s national capacity to undertake Marine Scientific Research to increasing oceanographic knowledge.=DNA
