Malala always welcome in India: Shiv Sena

Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai

MUMBAI, 21 OCT (DNA) – Amid continuous threats and protests against visiting Pakistani personalities in Mumbai, Hindu extremist group Shiv Sena on Wednesday said it will always welcome Pakistan s child activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai to India.
“If Malala comes to Hindustan the Shiv Sena will welcome it. Malala is child who fought terrorism in Pakistan, her fight is going on,” party spokesperson Sanjay Raut said.
The Indian extremist party s remarks on Malala comes after their strong protest against PCB chief Shahryar Khan, cricket umpire Aleem Dar, former Pakistani foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri, Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Mahira in recent days in Mumbai.
The Shiv Sena, a junior partner in a ruling coalition with the BJP in the Maharashtra state government, opposes any dealings with Pakistan. Malala had said recently that she wished to pay a visit to India, especially to Delhi and Mumbai, to inspire young girls there.
She became a global symbol of defiance after she was shot on a school bus in Swat valley in 2012 by the Taliban for advocating girls rights. The 18-year-old, who now lives in England, was a joint winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize along with India s Kailash Satyarthi for their work promoting children s rights. The Pakistani Nobel Peace Prize winner has said that she want to inspire young girls in India by paying a visit to the country. DNA
