NEW YORK: In a session on Friday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi expressed that the vision of the Chinese is a vital and ambitious notion for promoting international peace and viable development in the 21st Century.

She went on to say that the concept of building a community of a shared future for mankind proves China’s vision to promote international cooperation in an interdependent world. Lodhi said that without common efforts and unity amongst the countries, the prevailing security situation will not be solved.

The One Belt One Road project initiated by the Chinese is a whole new and different concept which aims to establish a more equitable and reasonable international system through stronger integration of interests and deeper cooperation.

Lodhi applauded Chinese President Xi Jinping saying that his vision will benefit and positively impact all countries and communities across the world.

“Terrorism and cybercrime cannot be resolved by any one country,” she said. “China’s One Belt One Road project will be expanded to 60 countries of three continents, and is for the prosperity of more than 4 billion people.”

During routine briefings, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, Hua Chunying in a statement said: “We have noted that many members of the international community have appraised the incorporation of the concept of a community of shared future into the First Committee’s resolutions.”
