Lahore: Interim CM renews commitment for transparent elections
LAHORE, JUNE 09 (DNA) – Interim Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Hassan Askari on Saturday asserted that primary task of caretaker set up is to conduct transparent elections.
Askari was talking to media here in Lahore after paying visit at Iqbal mausoleum.
“To provide equal opportunities [in general elections 2018] is our responsibility”, asserted Askari.
Caretaker CM termed Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) narrative of aliens as political statement. Responding to question on objections raised by PML-N over his appointment, Askari stated that confidence of all political outfits will be restored on basis of performance.
Askari made it overtly clear that he would continue to work with a small cabinet.
