BISHKEK, JUN 11 (DNA) – Kyrgyzstan is ready to take the presidency over the Council of Heads of State of Shanghai Cooperation Organization for 2018-2019 and make a worthy contribution to the further development of the organization.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov stated at the meeting the Council the day before.

According to him, the Kyrgyz side highly appreciates the results of the presidency of the Chinese side over the Council of SCO Heads of State.

China at a high level organized a set of events, gave impetus to the advancement of many tasks, initiated a number of new important mechanisms.

We strive to strengthen mutual trust and understanding, constructive and fruitful cooperation, friendship and good neighborliness among the peoples of the SCO countries and propose holding the next summit of the heads of state on June 14-15, 2019 in Bishkek,said Sooronbai.=DNA
