Kyrgyzstan military chief, COAS vow to further enhance defence ties
RAWALPINDI, MAR 13 (DNA) – Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Major General Rayimberdi Duishenbiev called on Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including military to military relations, regional security situation and measures to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation were discussed.
Earlier, on arrival at GHQ, Maj Gen Duishenbiev laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour to the dignitary.
Earlier today, Foreign Minister of Iran, Javad Zarif called on COAS Bajwa at GHQ on Tuesday in Rawalpindi and discussed relations between the two countries.
Matters of mutual interest and regional security came under discussion during the meeting.
The visiting dignitary appreciated bilateral security engagements during the recent months and the measures initiated by both sides to improve Pak-Iran border security.
