Kulsoom Nawaz diagnosed with throat cancer: reports
LONDON, AUG 22 (DNA) – PML-N’s NA-120 by-election candidate Kulsoom Nawaz and wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has contracted throat cancer.
According to details, the former First Lady of Pakistan has been diagnosed with throat cancer which is in its initial stage.
Kulsoom Nawaz was checked by a doctor at her house for three days. Doctors are of the view that the throat cancer is treatable.
As per reports, her daughter Maryam Nawaz will now spearhead the campaign for NA-120 by-election.
NA-120 seat fell vacant after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the apex court on grounds of Articles 62/63 in the Panama Leaks case.
According to family sources last week, Kulsoom had flown to London for a medical checkup on the day she was to appear before the ECP for scrutiny of her nomination papers.
Her nomination papers were challenged by candidates of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Peoples Party.
