Kazakh envoy, PIA chief discuss direct flights

ISLAMABAD, OCT 5 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Akan Rakhmetullin met with Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan International Airlines, Air Marshal Arshad Malik. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan were discussed.
In particular, the opening of direct flights between the capitals of the two countries, as well as the use of Kazakhstan’s transit opportunities.
The Pakistani side expressed interest in increasing cooperation with Kazakh airlines, primarily on the basis of the “code-sharing” principle.
A.Rakhmetullin drew attention to the fact that the high popularity of Kazakhstan’s medical educational institutions among the Pakistani ones represents a serious potential for increasing passenger traffic between our countries. In addition, the opening of direct or transit flights between our countries will help strengthen cooperation in all areas.
