SIALKOT, AUG 14 (DNA) -Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the people of held Kashmir are facing shortage of foods and medicines, besides crackdown and curfew even on Eid-ul-Azha day. She added the Indian forces have repeated the history of ‘Karbala’.

She said that the civil society and citizens of Pakistan have strongly condemned this Indian act of brutality and expressed their full solidarity with the innocent Kashmiris. She added “We have decided to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with simplicity in view of prevailing situation in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).”

The special assistant said the Indian forces have made the entire population of Jammu and Kashmir hostage and wanted to erase their identity but she made it clear that it will fail to get success in its nefarious designs.

She said that since Kashmir was Pakistan’s jugular vein so it would not show any flexibility, take all the required steps and go to any extent for the rights of Kashmiris, she added.

Dr Firdous said the history was witness to the fact that violence could never stop the freedom movements. Guns could not dampen the morale and the freedom struggle of Kashmiris, she added.

She said today India has become a hardline Hindu state and those, who have opposed the two-nation theory, are now repenting their decision.

She said with scrapping of the special status of Indian occupied Kashmir, the real face of Hindu extremist state has been exposed. “By doing all this with innocent Kashmiris, Modi has actually exposed the true terrorist and extremist face of India before the international community.”

She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has apprised Iranian President Hassan Rouhani about situation in IoK. She added the Iranian leader also expressed his concerns over the atrocities and killing of innocent people in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

She said that now India could not further exploit any situation as Pakistan has effectively raised the matter and told the world leaders including Chinese leadership about India’s evil plans to change demography of Kashmir through ethnic cleansing.DNA
