Karachi hospitals lack facilities to fight heat stroke despite tall claims
KARACHI, APR 04, (DNA) – Government hospitals in Karachi are lacking basic facilities to fight heat stroke despite directives from the health department.
According to details, a high alert was issued at different hospitals regarding special arrangements for heat stroke in the metropolis.
In Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, 70 beds and medicines have been arranged but other basic facilities including air conditioners were neglected.
On the other hand, Orangi Town’s Qatar Hospital is also not having ACs in the rooms.
Earlier in 2015, more than 1000 people were died due to scorching heatstroke in Karachi. Repeated power outrages across the province exacerbated the situation.=DNA
