JP Singh new Indian envoy to Israel
NEW DELHI, JAN 25 (DNA): Jitender Pal Singh (JP Singh), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the State of Israel. He is expected to assume his new role shortly.
JP Singh has previously served in Pakistan, including as the Chargé d’Affaires, during a particularly tense period in India-Pakistan relations. This was a time when both nations had expelled each other’s diplomats, and bilateral ties were at a historic low.
Despite the challenging circumstances, JP Singh leveraged his diplomatic acumen to help ease tensions and foster dialogue between the two rival nations. His efforts demonstrated his exceptional skill in managing complex and sensitive diplomatic situations.
