JIT probing gun attack on Imran summons Vawda
ISLAMABAD, DEC 09 (DNA) — The JIT formed by the Punjab government to investigate the gun attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan has summoned Faisal Vawda and 35 other PTI leaders.
The JIT asked former PTI leader Faisal Vawda to appear before it tomorrow (Saturday) with complete record. In his press conference on Oct 26, Vawda said that PTI’s long march that was set to start from Lahore on October 28 would “witness bloodshed, death, and funerals.”
Vawda was asked to bring all the documents in support of his claim and also directed to bring his identity card. The JIT also summoned 35 other PTI leaders including Yasmeen Rashid, Hammad Azhar, Faisal Javed, Imran Ismail, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, and Faisal Javed.
Imran was injured and a party worker was killed in a gun attack on the PTI chief’s container as his convoy reached Wazirabad’s Allah Wala Chowk during its long march on November 3. =DNA
