KARACHI, DEC 04, (DNA) – Javed Khanani of the reputed Khanani and Kalia group, died on Sunday after falling from an under-construction building in Karachi’s Mohammad Ali Society, said police.

According to SP Gulshan-e-Iqbal Dr Fahad Ahmed Mukhtar, the under-construction building belonged to the deceased and the case appears to be a suicide.

Khanani had some money laundering cases on him and investigation is underway regarding the death, he added.

The money exchange group has been under scrutiny by FIA since 2008 due to laundering and fraud allegations.

The hospital administration said that Khanani was brought in a dead state to the hospital.

The administration quoted the family members saying that Javed Khanani fell after getting electrocuted.=DNA
