Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister meets MoS Hina Khar

ISLAMABAD, AUG 3: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, received the Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Honda Taro at the Foreign Office.
Views were exchanged on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
The Minister of State underscored that Pakistan attached high importance to its political and economic relationship with Japan. Adding that Pakistan viewedJapan as a trusted development partner, sheemphasized the exploring of further avenues to deepen the Pakistan-Japan relationship in all spheres.
The Minister of State shared Pakistan’s perspective on its relations with neighboring countries and highlighted Pakistan’s efforts for the establishment of sustainable peace and stability in the region. She also underscored the importance of peaceful resolution of outstanding disputes as per international legitimacy and relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
Pakistan and Japan enjoy cordial and cooperative bilateral relations. Both sides reiterated their commitment to enhance bilateral relationship and mutual cooperation for the promotion of international peace and security.
