Japanese martial arts exhibition on 7th

ISLAMABAD, JAN 04 (DNA) – The Japan Foundation and Embassy of Japan are holding an exhibition “The spirit of Budo” the history of Japanese martial arts at PNCA on January 7.
The exhibition will seek understanding of viewers about the brief history of Japanese martial arts from battlefield combat technique to popular sports or physical exercise.
The exhibition would consist of two parts. In first part reproduction/ originals of historical weapons such as bows and arrows, suits of armor, helmets are shown and development of martial arts from 8th century to 19th century is explained.
The second part deals with re-organization of bujutsu to budo in the 19th and 20th centuries and how the spirit of martial arts is still inherent in the life of the Japanese people.=DNA
