Japan announces logo contest for 75 years of Japan-Pakistan diplomatic ties
ISLAMABAD, Oct 3 (DNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has launched an official public design competition to create a commemorative logo for the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which will be marked in 2027.
The winning design will serve as the official emblem for events and promotional materials celebrating bilateral ties throughout the anniversary year, MOFA Japan announced on its website.
The competition is open to citizens of both Japan and Pakistan of any age and current place of residence.
The submissions must be received by Wednesday, October 23, 2026, while results are expected around late December 2026 on the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
The winning designer will not receive monetary compensation or prizes, but will be publicly credited by name and affiliation with their consent.
The selected logo design in its final form will be distributed to those authorized by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Pakistan and will be used in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan.
Aspirants can submit their email entries to the Southwest Asia Division of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at [email protected]; with subject line: “Logo Entry”
The email must include the applicant’s name and affiliation (do not include the logo explanation here).
Required Files & Formats: Digital file format: JPEG, PDF, or EPS (maximum file size of 3 MB). Resolution: 300 DPI or higher.
Layout specifications: Approximate size of 160px × 160px for vertical (portrait) layouts or 250px × 150px for horizontal (landscape) layouts.
Both colour and black-and-white versions must be provided. A separate file containing an 80-word design explanation, which will be published alongside the winning logo.
Designs must be entirely unpublished and must not infringe on any third-party copyrights or trademarks.
AI Prohibition: The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) is strictly prohibited to prevent copyright complications.
Copyright Transfer: All rights and copyrights to the winning submission will officially belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
