Islamabad XI wins friendly cricket match against Karachi XI

ISLAMABAD, FEB 27 – A star studded friendly cricket match was organized by MediaSniffers between Islamabad XI and Karachi XI, which was won by Islamabad XI. Renowned real estate and property developer M/s. Sukoon Vista sponsored the event.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry was the Chief Guest at the occasion and he along with Senator Faisal Javed distributed the prizes amongst the players.
Besides Deputy Mayor Islamabad Zeeshan Naqvi, many showbiz celebrities including Faisal Qureshi, Agha Sheeraz, Saleem Sheikh, Saood, Tehseen Javed, Adnan Akmal participated in the friendly cricket match.
Speaking at the occasion, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry appreciated the initiative of organizing star-studded friendly cricket match between Islamabad and Karachi teams, which provided great entertainment to the spectators at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has deprived people of sports and entertainment activities. He said that sports were an important source of generating business activities worth billions of dollars and Pakistan could also improve its economy by focusing on promotion of sports. He said that the spread of coronavirus was now on the declining trend and hoped that in coming days, more sports activities would be held in Pakistan.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan appreciated the decision of the government for allowing 50 percent crowds in PSL matches besides lifting the time limit from commercial activities and allowing indoor wedding ceremonies that would help in generating more business and economic activities in the country.
