Iran seeks to enhance defence ties with Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, JAN 18 (DNA) – Federal Minister for Defence Production, Science and Technology, Rana Tanveer Hussain and Iranian Minister of Defence and Logistics of Armed Forces, Brigadier General Amir Hatami Thursday reviewed the bilateral relations and discussed the possibility of cooperation between the defence industries of the two countries.
Rana Tanveer along with a high-ranking defence and science delegation is on an official visit to Iran at the invitation of Brigadier General Amir Hatami.
The two sides also signed a joint statement after the discussion on bilateral issues.
Referring to the statement signed with his Iranian counterpart, Rana Tanveer Hussain said it showed Pakistan was deeply interested in expansion of defense cooperation with Iran and sought new mechanism for formation of joint defense cooperation committee with Iran.
