ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal along with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing on Thursday inaugurated the quarterly magazine and website of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Speaking at the occasion, Iqbal said that there is a need to promote this mega project rather than creating problems for it.

“CPEC will bring peace and development to the region, and there is no need to be afraid of this project,” added the interior minister.

Iqbal further said that the purpose of the magazine and website is to raise awareness about CPEC and inform the masses about the project’s latest developments.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said that CPEC is very important for China and Pakistan, and it will bring both the countries closer.

“Regional cooperation is very important for the Chinese leadership,” said Jing.
