Indonesian President warmly welcomed upon arrival in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, JAN 26 (DNA) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo was warmly received when he arrived in Islamabad on a two day visit to Pakistan.
President Mamnoon Hussain and the first lady greeted the distinguished guest at Noor Khan Air Base at Chaklala. Others to receive the guest included Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari and senior officials.
A high level delegation is accompanying the Indonesian President.
A 21-gun salute boomed out when the Indonesian leader, accompanied by the first lady, alighted from his special aircraft.
Two children attired in traditional Pakistani dresses presented bouquets to Indonesian President and the first lady.
President Joko Widodo would address joint session of the Parliament which has specially been convened this evening for the purpose.
President Mamnoon Hussain would host a state banquet in honour of his Indonesian counterpart today.
Talks between Indonesian President and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi would be held tomorrow.
The two countries are also expected to sign MoUs and agreements on the occasion.
