ISLAMABAD, JAN 27: The newly-arrived High Commissioner of India Ajay Bisaria hosted a grand reception to celebrate the Republic Day of India. As usual a large number of guests hailing from different walks of life, attended the reception.
To add color to the event, renowned singer Shafaqat Amanat Ali made special appearance to perform on the occasion. His spell binding performance forced audience to give him a big hand of applause.
Minister for Capital Administration Tariq Fazal Ch was the chief guest. The ceremony began with playing of national anthems of both these countries followed by dinner. Traditional Indian cuisines were offered to guests on the occasion.
High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria has recently taken charge as high commissioner after departure of Gautam Bambawale. Mr. Bisaria is a career diplomat and it is hoped during his tenure relations between Pakistan and India shall see marked improvement.=DNA
