Indian agent issue: Some elements trying to spoil Pak-Iran relations: embassy

ISLAMABAD, MAR 31 (DNA) – The Iranian embassy has issued a press release clarifying certain issues regarding detention of Indian agent in Pakistan. The statements says, “During past days some section of Pakistani media has spread contents regarding detention of an Indian Agent and the matter related to it, which could have negatives implications on the fraternal and friendly atmosphere of Iran and Pakistan.
Naturally, those elements who are not happy over the promotion of ties between two Islamic countries of Iran and Pakistan would try in various ways including by spreading undignified contents and sometimes offensive to fade out the significant achievements during the visit of Dr. Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan and undermine the flourishing ties of Iran and Pakistan.
Islamic Republic of Iran during seven decades since independence of Pakistan has always proved itself as a confident partner and neighbor for that country and the western borders of Pakistan have never been threatened.
Iran considers its borders with Pakistan as borders of peace and friendship and as Dr. Rouhani said in his press conference “Security of Iran is security of Pakistan and security of Pakistan is security of Iran”.
Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran believes spreading of such news items is the product of thinking which does not like further expansion of ties between the two countries and against fruitful materialization of the agreements made during the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and believes that Muslim and aware people of Pakistan attaches special importance and value to the friendship and brotherly ties with Iran and spreading of undignified and insulting contents would not have impact on the positive and cordial views of two countries regarding each other.=DNA
