India has turned IIOJK into military garrison: Majeed Malik
ISLAMABAD, JAN 22 (DNA) – A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) was held in Islamabad with its Vice Chairman, Abdul Majeed Malik, in chair Friday.
The meeting was attended by 11 workers from Kotli led by Dr Imtiaz Kashmiri.
Abdul Majeed Malik addressing the meeting deplored that the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir had been turned into a military garrison and more than eight million Kashmiri people had been held hostage by the Indian forces.
He further said India has waged an undeclared war on the Line of Control (LoC) and civilians are being targeted daily by the unprovoked firing by Indian troops. He urged the Kashmiris to reject India’s illegal and unconstitutional occupation over Jammu and Kashmir by protesting against India’s Republic Day on January 26.
Abdul Majeed Malik deplored that Modi government was setting up colonies to settle non-Kashmiris in IIOJK so that the Muslim population can be turned into a minority and then the desired results could be obtained if the plebiscite is held at any time in the future.
Advocate Shawkat Umair, Qari Ayaz, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Farooq Kashmiri and others participated in the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the participants prayed for the high ranks of the Kashmiri martyrs. _ DNA
