India hasn’t allowed Yasin Malik to meet family for three years: wife
ISLAMABAD, DEC 25 (DNA) – Wife of the imprisoned Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik said on Monday that India has not allowed her husband to meet their family for about three years.
Mishal Malik complained that the same humanitarian gesture is never returned by the Indian occupation forces in held Kashmir. She praised Pakistan’s step of allowing the Indian convicted spy Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet his wife and mother in a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
She told that several Hurriyat leaders have been kept behind the bars for a prolonged time and are not allowed to meet their families, apart from the atrocities committed with them in the prison cells. Malik said India went to the International Court of Justice to save its caught spy but never worried about the mothers and sisters of innocent Kashmiris in the occupied territory.
she mentioned that the Hurriyat leader Asiya Andrabi has not met her husband Dr. Qasim for the past 25 years who remains in the prison cell. “Indian state harasses Asiya Andrabi through various means rather than arranging a meeting with her husband,” she said.
Yasin Malik’s wife said that the international community has shown silence over the brutality of Indian forces. Indian state violates the humanitarian rights in occupied valley on a daily basis by using chemical weapons, she stressed.
“Indian forces have killed 14 women in held Kashmir during last one year.”
