Independence day of Tajikistan celebrated in style
ISLAMABAD, SEPT 22 (DNA) – Ambassador of Tajikistan Sherali Jononov hosted a grand reception to mark 26th anniversary of Independence Day of Republic of Tajikistan.
Jam Kamal Khan Minister of State for Petroleum, was the chief guest while Governor Punjab Rafiq Rajwana and National Security Adviser Lt. Gen ® Nasir Janjua also graced the occasion with their presence.
The Tajik national day was a very well attended function. People from all walks of life were invited to be part of Independence Day festivities. The jam-packed hotel showed love of Pakistan people for Tajikistan and its people.
Both countries enjoy excellent relations, which have constantly been on the move especially after arrival of Ambassador Sherali Jononov who has put in his best efforts to bring both countries even closer.
Pakistani senior leadership has visited Tajikistan many times while from Tajik side too senior leaders including President have visited Pakistan in order to promote and further strengthen bilateral relations.
CASA 1000 the landmark energy project is in its final stages and once completed energy demands of Pakistan would be met. The project is likely to be completed in a couple of months after which loeadshedding from Pakistan will end.
Military cooperation between the two countries is also deepening with the each passing day. Likewise in the field of culture, tourism, education and trade both Pakistan and Tajikistan have already undertaken a number of projects.=DNA
