Imran Khan, Sirajul Haq discuss FATA merger in meeting at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD, DEC 13 (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday met Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq at Islamabad s Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA).
Both the leaders discussed the current political situation of the country and merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Imran Khan was present at the airport to depart for Karachi on a three-day visit to Sindh.
On Tuesday, opposition parties formed a parliamentary committee on to hold talks with the PMLN-led government over the issue of FATA reforms bill.
They also staged a walk out from the National Assembly over non-presentation of the FATA reforms bill on second day of the session.
Sirajul Haq has warned the government of a sit-in protest in the federal capital if FATA region is not merged with KP until December 31. PTI has also warned that his party will hold protests throughout the country if no progress is made on FATA-KP merger front.
