Imran Khan promises to make a prosperous; peaceful Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, JULY 26 (DNA)- PTI chairman Imran Khan has vowed to make Pakistan a truly welfare state taking proper care of especially downtrodden people.
He expressed these views while delivering a speech after victory in the elections. He said PTI will introduce a uniform system in which law will take its course against the law breakers.
He added, our main guiding principle shall be efficient governance and rooting out of corruption adding drive against corruption shall start from the prime minister, ministers and then other people.
Imran Khan further said PTI government shall improve functioning of all institutions and shall be given full powers. He said PTI will strengthen institutions, especially those dealing with anti corruption so that corruption issues could be handled and tackled effectively.
He said the he will not stay in the prime minister house and will shift to Minister’s enclave in a comparatively small place. He said, the PM house may be converted into educational institutions while all the governor houses shall be opened for general public.
Imran Khan also promised to introduce a new tax system in order to make it efficient and reliable.
He also announced to give relief to the farmers in order to increase agri growth. He also talked about foreign relations and vowed to have good relations with all neighboring countries.
He said China will rank top in PTI priorities areas. CPEC is indeed a landmark project and shall be continued. He said he will try to learn China how to reduce poverty.
China also dealt sternly with Corruption and we will also try to learn China in this regard.
Afghanistan is also important country. War on terror has badly affected Afghan people. Peace in Afghanistan shall be Pakistan’s top priority. “ I would even like to have open borders with Afghanistan”,.
Regarding American, he said his government would like to have relations with USA on equal basis. A balanced relationship with American shall be our priority.
Saudi Arabia, Iran are also important countries for Pakistan. Reconciliation in the Middle East shall also be in the priority areas of PTI government. We would like to play a role to end fighting in the Middle East.
On India he said, the Indian media portrayed me like a villain, which was very unfortunate. They tried to create a bad impression about me. But frankly I genuinely believe if relations between Pakistan and India are better, it would be good for the regional peace.
But unfortunately Indian aggression in Kashmir is not acceptable. Kashmiris have suffered a lot. Leaderships of both countries should sit on a negotiating table for resolution of Kashmir issue.
Pakistan is ready to sit with India for this purpose but we do not see any positive signals from India. Let me say here with conviction that dialogue is the only way to settle issues”.
He promised to people of Pakistan that he will introduce an efficient governance system in Pakistan by adopting simplicity. “ I pledge that that people’s money will never go waste and taxpayers money shall be spent on rightful projects”.
Imran Khan also promised to project minorities’ rights also.
Regarding rigging charges of the opposition parties, Imran Khan said the incumbent Election Commission of Pakistan is in fact constitution by the particular parties when they were in power.
He said he is ready to open any constituency where the opposition parties think voting process has not been fair. He termed the election 2018 the most transparent and independent elections.=DNA
