Imran Khan gives dharna call in front of ECP for Oct 04
ISLAMABAD / LAHORE, AUG 29 (DNA) – –PTI Chairman Imran Khan as asked his workers to gather in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan on October 04 to put pressure on the incumbent members of ECP to resign.Imran Khan, who was addressing a public gathering after chairing a party meeting in Lahore, said “there was no justification for the ECP members to hold their posts after 21 political parties had claimed that rigging took place during the 2013 elections”.Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan once again challenged Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz sharif to contest election in NA-122 against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He expressed these views while talking to the media in Bani Gala before leaving for Lahore.
Khan said that the party would reach a decision today regarding contesting elections under officials involved in “match fixing” or not. While responding to the news about filing of reference by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against him, Khan said that he is waiting for it to happen.
PTI leader said that tribunals’ verdicts were delayed on purpose. Had the verdicts come earlier, the judicial commission’s judgment would have been different. He criticised National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) chairman for taking a two week-leave abruptly. The party is deliberating over choice of candidate in NA-122, he added.=DNA
